ISD is proud to host, with the Lycée Chateaubriand and La Petite École, the next and 29th “Operation Coup de Coeur” from Monday 28th November to Friday 2th December.

Operation Coup de Cœur is a charity and solidarity activity of the Union des Français which takes place every year before the christmas holidays. It is organized with the support of parent-teacher associations, the teachers, the relevant departments of schools and the direct participation of volunteer parents. It consists of a collection of non-perishable foodstuffs and other goods brought by the students and received at the gates of the establishment when they enter class.

This year’s collection will be intended for various charities: the “L’eau Vive” restaurant which continues, with the same approach developed by Don Pietro Segurani, who died recently, the midday service of hot meals at the table from Monday to Saturday for 120 people in difficulty (3 towers of 40) and reception structures, in particular the “casa famiglia La Speranza” of the “Nostra Signora del Suffraggio” Institute next to Termini station and the “Mensa dei poveri” in via Gallia which serves meals to around 100 homeless people on Mondays and Thursdays. The demand for these structures is similar: savory products (pasta, rice, beans, lentils, chickpeas, flour, oil, tomato sauce, canned tuna) and sweet products (sugar, coffee, biscuits, chocolate, various desserts), cutlery and paper napkins for serving meals.
