British Science Week at ISD of Rome: « Change & Adapt »

The Saint-Dominique International Institute in Rome is celebrating the Odyssey Group’s British Science Week from 10 to 14 March 2025, under the theme “Change & Adapt”. This edition will highlight how living beings, technologies and societies are evolving to adapt to their environment.

Through interactive workshops, scientific challenges and fun experiments, our students will explore the mechanisms of change and adaptation across different science disciplines.

Why celebrate British Science Week at ISD?

As an international institution, the ISD in Rome encourages curiosity, critical thinking and science from a young age. This special week aims to:

  • Stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
  • Develop creativity and innovation through collaborative projects.
  • Encourage students to reflect on their own ability to adapt and change.

On the agenda: a week full of discoveries!

  • Live launch session: follow the opening session live on BBC.co.uk on Monday 10 March at 11am (UK time).
  • Student teaser video: our young scientists will share their vision of science through an original video.
  • Poster contest: our students will create posters illustrating the theme “Change & Adapt”. The best creations will be exhibited and rewarded!
  • Discovery Yoga session: understanding how our body and mind adapt to movement and breathing.
  • Experiments and scientific demonstrations: from chemistry to biology to physics, students will perform surprising experiments.
  • 100th day of school: on Thursday, March 13, we will celebrate this important milestone of the school year with special activities
