International Mathematical Games Championship
International Mathematical Games Championship
130 ISD students, from CM2 to sixth form, participated in the INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICAL GAMES CHAMPIONSHIP organized by the FFJM (French Federation of Mathematical Games). 19 are qualified for the semi-finals that will take place on Saturday 18th March 2023!
Each year, the International Mathematical and Logical Games Championship allows thousands of schoolchildren, high school students, students and adults to participate in a mathematical and fun competition bringing together participants from several countries.
The events of this championship are composed of puzzles and mathematical problems to solve in limited time, without calculator and without expected writing. The problems are varied, mixing geometry, arithmetic, space, quantities and measurements… Mathematical games are both a fun and suitable way for any audience to develop the mathematical skills expected in school programs and also to find or regain the pleasure of doing mathematics. Experience shows that they also contribute to giving impetus and motivation to some young people to pursue the path of mathematics and science.
Congratulations to all!
